International Ladino Day 2023

International Ladino Day is usually held once a year to celebrate and educate the public on the Sephardic Ladino Tradition as well as bring awareness to the Ladino language and its dwindling number of native speakers.

Katz Yeshiva High School in Boca Raton, FL was honored to be one of the first schools in the country to celebrate this day and demonstrate that the Ladino language is very much alive.

Poster boards, books and other media relating to the Sephardic-Ladino heritage were assembled at the entrance of the school so that students could engage and learn about Ladino, its origins, its slow decline and along with its recent revival

Thanks to KYHS students Judah Roberts and Alexandra Roberts for taking the time to hep create the posterboards as well sign-up sheets for Bivas.org!
