There are three traditional Sephardic ways of greeting a friend during Rosh Hashana
1. Anyada Buena, Dulse i Alegre!
Ladino for “May you have a good sweet and happy new year!”
2. Tizku Leshanim Rabot!
Hebrew for “May you merit many years!”. The traditional Hebrew response to this greeting is “Tizkeh vetichyeh veh-teah-rich yah-mim!” (“May you merit to live and lengthen your days”)
